Bloemfontein Celtic have appointed Boebie Solomons as their new assistant coach.

Solomons, who joins from Cape Town-based Santos, replaces Molefi Ntseki who will be in charge of the development teams.

Khumbulani Konco, Celtic CEO, told bloemfonteincelticfc.co.za: “We are happy. We wish to congratulate Boebie Solomons on his appointment. It could not have happened to a more deserving candidate as several coaches had applied for the job. We know he will make a success of his new job. Boebie is a top-notch coach and he has tons of experience. He will commence his duties immediately,” he said.

Coach Clinton Larsen, on the other hand, said he was over the moon with the appointment of Solomons because he brought a lot of expertise and experience into the technical team.

“Boebie is a knowledgeable coach and his record speaks volumes. We believe his experience will benefit the club a great deal. Personally, I’m happy we have a very strong technical team. We are raring to go and looking for the new season coming up,” Larsen said happily.

Solomons expressed his happiness about joining the ambitious Celtic.

“It’s a great honour for me to be part of Celtic family. Clinton talked me into joining this ambitious club and I came here because of his attitude. I believe he is one of the best young coaches in the country. I would love to work and help him achieve big things. Hopefully together we can grow and awaken this sleeping giant.” he said.
