A brilliant game of football between two good teams is expected when Bloemfontein Celtic visits Maritzburg United in a PSL league fixture at Harry Gwala stadium on Friday (12 January 2018) for a match that will kick off at 20h00.

Veselin Jelušic (Celtic’s head coach) explained the importance of winning away games and emphasised that Celtic’s mission is still on track. “Winning our first game of 2018 was thrilling for the fans and the players proved their seriousness in accumulating maximum points. After a short break, I was impressed by the level of fitness of the players and it shows our players’ professional conduct and obedience in following the off-season programme that was given to them.”

The Celtic mentor agrees that Maritzburg Untied is a very good side with great players but boldly declared “We are ready. Our plan is to have a cautious approach making sure we don’t concede early, making sure we don’t lose our structure and subsequently utilsing every opportunity given.”

“The positive thing though, is seeing goals scored not only by our strikers and I was also impressed by how the young Billy Maema responded after being thrown into the deep-end Although we started well, we must continue sharpening our swords and making sure we score more goals. Our game against Arrows presented us with the chance to score an avalanche of goals but still we failed.” cautioned Coach Ves.
